Jim Clark driving the Lotus 49 to victory at the 1967 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The Lotus 49 debuted at the Dutch Grand Prix just a month earlier – Clark won the race, along with wins at the United States and Mexican Grand’s Prix later in the season. Although Clark had more victories (4), he lost the 1967 Drivers’ Championship to Denny Hulme (2 wins). Hulme had fewer victories but his Brabham was much more reliable than the Lotus (Clark retired from 5 races during the season).
