The Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ (Tubolare Zagato) driven by Sergio Pedretti (Kim) and Alfonso Thiele at the 48th Targa Florio run on the Circuito Piccolo delle Madonie, Sicily, April 1964. The Scuderia Sant Ambroeus entered Alfa Romeo finished in fourth place overall, and second in the 1.6 litre GT class (behind another Scuderia Sant Ambroeus TZ). For the Targa Florio, Scuderia Sant Ambroeus was the defacto factory team of Alfa Romeo, with factory mechanics and technical staff looking after the cars. Throughout 1964, the performance of the Alfa Romeo TZ was outstanding, having near domination of the 1.6 litre sportscar class.
