The Ferrari 350 Can-Am driven by Chris Amon at the 1967 Monterey Grand Prix at Laguna Seca. The number 23 Ferrari finished in 5th place overall, the highest finish for Amon during the 1967 Can-Am season. After completing the 1967 World Sportscar Championship season, Ferrari converted two 330 P4s into the Ferrari 350 Can-Am for use in the Canadian-American Challenge Cup series. The cars were given sleek new spyder bodies, and slightly enlarged engines up to 4.2-litres (from 4-litres). The two Ferrari’s, entered by the West Coast Ferrari distributor Bill Harrah, joined the Can-Am championship late in the season – with mediocre results. Amon’s 5th place finish at Laguna Seca was the highpoint of the season. Ferrari returned to Can-Am during the 1968 and 1969 season with the purpose built Ferrari 612, which had only marginally better results.
