FERRARI 412P
The North American Racing Team (NART) Ferrari 412 P driven by Pedro Rodríguez and Giancarlo Baghetti at the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 412 P was used by Ferrari’s privateer customer teams: NART, Scuderia Filippinetti, and Maranello Concessionaires. The cars were basically Ferrari 330 P3 prototypes from the 1966 season, but with updated P4 bodywork, suspension and alloy wheels. The 4-litre V12 engine was carried over from the previous year, while the factory 330 P4s received a new fuel injection system. The NART 412 failed to finish the race due to mechanical issues in the 11th hour. None of the privateer 412s finished the race, but a factory 330 P4 driven by Ludovico Scarfiotti and Mike Parkes finished 2nd place overall, followed by another 330 P4 in 3rd place. Pedro Rodríguez would return to Le Mans the following year to drive the winning Gulf GT40 with Lucien Bianchi.
