FERRARI 500 TRC
The striking blue Ferrari 500 TRC driven by Richie Ginther and Francois Picard at the 1957 24 Hours of Le Mans. Unfortunately, the Equipe Los Amigos entered Ferrari failed to finish the race due to a broken water pump in the 13th hour. Another Ferrari 500 TRC, entered by Equipe Nationale Belge, finished the race in 7th place overall (behind a parade of D-Type Jaguars), and won the 2 litre sports car class. At the end of the previous season Ferrari handed off all the 2 litre, four-cylinder sports racing cars to customers, choosing to equip Scuderia Ferrari with new V12-powered cars. The Ferrari 500 TRC was the last 4-cylinder racing car built by Ferrari, and possibly the most beautiful.
