LOLA T70 MkIIIB
The Chevrolet powered Lola T70 MkIIIB driven by Antônio Carlos Avallone at the 1971 Corrida dos Campeões (Race of Champions), at Interlagos, Brazil. The Team Avallone Motor Clube entered Lola T70 finished in 2nd place overall. Avallone purchased the Lola in 1970 from Wilson Fittipaldi (Emerson’s brother), and raced it to great success in domestic Brazilian events throughout the 1971 season. He was a routine podium finisher, and a Brazilian national champion. Along with racing, Avallone founded the company ACIEI in São Paulo, with the goal of selling racing cars he built using components he purchased in Europe and the United States (between ten and twelve Avallone prototypes were produced).
